Another Milestone

Another milestone was passed during my hiatus from blogging. Morgan lost her very first tooth. It had been loose for quite a while. I didn't want to terrorize her (I know that there are many more teeth to come out) so I told her she was in charge and I would only pull it out when she wanted. We decided to really work on it and had it practically out when Morgan decided that she did not want to do the final tug. We went to bed that night and the next with her tooth still half in, half out.

At 6:15am the next day Morgan came in to my room and said that she decided that she wanted her tooth out, before school. She wanted to show her friends and her teacher that she too had a "broken" smile. I said that was wonderful, but asked if she could wait until Mommy's alarm clock went off 15 minutes later. I did get up, and we got the dental floss tied around her tooth. Morgan wasn't quite ready for it to come out so we went about our morning routine getting her hair done and such. She asked if she could have her baby with her when her tooth was pulled out and so I went and grabbed baby baby for her. Then she asked if we could wait until she put her shoes on. I said of course, and we put her shoes on. I then said that we didn't have to do this if she didn't want to and she started crying a little bit, but said to "Just do it mom." A tiny little tug later and her first tooth was history!
